Benylin® Dry Coughs contains dextromethorphan which helps to suppress the cough mechanism, and levomenthol, a decongestant which works to help relieve stuffiness in the nose to help make breathing easier. It also contains diphenhydramine which works to help relieve a runny nose. A dry cough is also known as a non-productive cough because it does not produce any phlegm. Dry coughs are caused by an inflammation of the upper airways caused by dust, foreign bodies or an infection.

How to Use This Product

Dosage: Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take two 5 ml spoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day. Not suitable for children under 12 years. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Active Ingredients

Ingredients: Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It thins mucus making it easier to cough up which helps to relieve chest congestion. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic. It helps relieve pain and reduce fever. Levomenthol has mild cooling and decongestant properties that helps soothe a cough and ease congestion in the nasal passages and lungs. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine and is used to treat sneezing, runny nose and cough. It can cause drowsiness. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that helps constrict blood vessels in the nasal passages, helping you to breathe more easily. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant used to relieve cough symptoms.
